Hi, I had Windows 10 but it turned into the the recurring blue screen of death. So I contacted Microsoft and they told me to reinstall Windows, I asked for Windows 7 as I thought it was a faster. So I installed Windows 7, and I get to the screen and everything is all big. I try to change the resolution but I realise the graphics card isn't there. I then notice the internet won't connect.

Basically my desktop seems to have lost a lot of drivers.

The pci communications controller and Ethernet are saying they have no drivers.

So what I tried to do was download a few drivers. I downloads the drivers for my Foxconn motherboard including chipset, lan and audio. Still the network won't connect. I read that you need the Intel engine interface driver. However trying to download this came up with an error, saying can not install on this platform?.

Secondly o tried to install amd Radeon graphics driver, but it says illegal action...? I'm really lost at what to do now, I even had to take my desktop downstairs and plug it into the router as I have no internet.
Additionally it won't even let me do Windows updates, it says there is an error for that, even while it is plugged in.

So to sum up, computer seems like it's not recognising any parts, even though most of the parts are showing in the device manager as having drivers..

If anyone could help me out, before I throw my machine down the stairs, then I would appreciate it. Thanks

You are probably installing the wrong drivers. What video card do you have in the system? Did you have Windows 7 on there before when things were working?

I don't know how to Check if it is enabled in the BIOS, it's the Ethernet and Pci communications controller that aren't connected/ have drivers.

But why does my card appear as Vga graphics when I have a proper card

Edit_--

ok update, a Microsoft tech support person managed to use remote access and get my internet wifi card working again, but the issue still lies with the graphics card not being detected.
