i have no issues actually running the games and my pc runs smoothly otherwise, but when i either exit or alt-tab out of diablo 3, my display will shut off as if a cable was unplugged within a minute or so. it doesn't happen immediately, and it doesnt happen ingame.

this has happened to me once upon exiting borderlands 2, but it happens every time with diablo 3.

temperatures on the GPU stay under 70 degrees while playing, CPU temps are fine also. I did a full safe mode driver sweep and reinstall with latest version, and to my knowledge, nothing has changed on the pc (aside from windows updates) that could warrant this kind of behavior. I also took apart my case and did a complete cleaning and reseat of all the cables and components. right now, it's more of a nuisance than a serious problem since it doesnt interfere with the games themselves, but i expect it to get worse if it's a hardware issue. can anyone offer any insight or troubleshooting advice?

additionally, I'm aware of the many historical posts where people are having this screen problem that are either unsolved, original poster didn't follow up, or it's happening under different circumstances (such as ingame)

i5-2500K
MSI GTX 780
BioStar TZ68A+
8gb G.Skill Ripjaws
Windows 10 pro 10.00.10586
Corsair 650w power supply - MSI recommends 600 minimum

no overclocking/abuse/experimentation on any components

well, after testing all the hardware and with the problem getting to the point where the display shuts off ingame, turns out it's the video card. which is really sad because i just got this damn thing a few months ago. too bad that my first experience with an msi product ended so quickly, theyre probably a decent company and i got unlucky but i guess ill stick to gigabyte or asus. can i even rma this thing? do i need a receipt? theyre out of production it seems.
