Not at all. In fact like I said its not a huge jump, I would actually be inclined to say take the money you save on not bothering with the FX-8350 and get an RX 470, or even an RX 480.

Your money is much better spent there.

A GPU cannot bottleneck a CPU. It's the other way around. However, the 6300 will not bottleneck the rx 460.

Actually just disagree, the 8350 will game better than the 6300, though not a lot. I'm guessing between 5 and 15fps especially with DirectX 12 out as the processor was limited by DirectX 11 in the past. Now it has the ability to make use of all 8 of its cores that it didn't in the past. The DirectX update breathed new life into the mid tier core. What you need to understand is the 8350 wasn't built solely for gaming, it was built to game and stream video, back in 2012. That being said it's 2016 and it's still a solid choice of a mid tier processor 4 years later. No it's not the best some Intel I5s and I7s beat it, but the fact is it goes for 159 USD online right now and with a 8350 and rx 460 4gb, and the ram you can play 95% of games on ultra and high settings. It's the best solid choice for gamers and streamers on a budget build in my opinion.

Now I would also say that I believe this CPU and GPU combination will probably still be viable in the gaming industry for the next two years at least. Of course by then it'll be time to upgrade bc those high to ultra settings will probably be medium across the board by then. Of course it'll be a 6 year old CPU by then and the current Intel i7s will be just as outdated
