Hi,
I currently planned on building a very good PC this year however I've had to lower my budget slightly. I was wondering whether I should get i3 4170 & Asus gtx 970 or either i5 4460 gtx 960 2gb. There's no way I can get the extra £50 unfortunately because I'm also purchasing windows and in the middle of a house move.

What shall I do?
Thank you, :)

I'd say i3+970 easily.

That being said, Skylake makes more sense & with similar cost:

If you decide to push the budget up a little, I'd suggest an i3+1060 over an i5+970
