Hate for my first thread to be asking for help, but I'm kind of at a stand still. I bought a new EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1070 FTW ACX 3.0. I'm upgrading from a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 660 SC. I installed the new card when I got home and my PC freezes up on the BIOS screen and my motherboard beeps at me periodically. Here's a little more info on my computer,

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit SP1
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz Ivy Bridge
RAM: 16.0 GB Dual-Chhannel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard: Intel Corporation DZ77SL-50K
PSU: EVGA NEX650G

I can provide any other info if needed.

The 1070 will light up (the rgb) and the fans will start spinning on start up. Eventually they will stop and the boot will not progress. My PSU is modular and has two 8 pin power cables labeled VGA connected at the PSU directly to the GPU.

I've looked into updating my BIOS. The latest update from Intel appears to have released on 04/30/13.

Solution - I built my PC originally in 2012. Never updating the BIOS in the last four years. It appears to have had one update in 2013. So as suggested I updated the BIOS through Intel's website and that fixed me up. Thank you.
