My friend needs a new Z77 motherboard. 2 of his ram slots on his current board died. Unfortunately it was slots 3 and 4 leaving him with 1 and 2 and only able to use 8GB of ram and he has seen a sizable decrease going from 16GB to 8GB. He does not wish to upgrade his entire CPU motherboard and ram because he has a I7 3770k. Anyone know where i can located a Z77 for him?

A this point, z77 chipset boards are End of Lifed. You're looking at left over stock if you want something new... Look on amazon, maybe newegg and usually some 3rd party sellers will have something in stock.
