Hello,

Currently planning a new build primarily for simulation games (Flight Sim etc.), hence the need for more processor power over graphics. Here's the build:

INTEL Skylake Core i7 6700K OC 4.5Ghz CPU
EVGA GTX 1060
ASUS Z170-P Motherboard
16GB 2400Mhz DDR4 Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM
ThermalTake Contac21 Cooler
Seagate 2tb SSHD
4x standard case fans
S340 NZXT case

Trying to stay below £1000 so really want a psu under/around £90 which can also handle overclocking. I think EVGA seems like a good choice so would either be:
650w G2/GS series.
OR 750w GQ series.
Both are around that £90 range. Would 750w be overkill? (Most I would add in the future would perhaps be a better graphics card, but not into SLI or anything). The calculator I used pointed more towards 650w.

ALSO, the motherboard, CPU, RAM and cooler come as a bundle on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Skylake-ThermalTake-Contac21-OVERCLOCKED-Motherboard/dp/B01C4B31P8/ref=sr_1_8?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1471523019&sr=8-8&keywords=6700k+bundle

Just wanted to know if bundles are generally a good idea? As it is pre-built, it will save me dealing with the delicate parts and will (hopefully) not require me going into BIOS and attempting to apply overclocking myself.

Apologies if this is more lengthy than it needs to be!
Harry.

Solution
1) Yes, 650w is more than enough for that. 550w is plenty even. Of the EVGA power supplies I would opt for the G2 or the GS, the GQ isn't that great. You can also look into the Corsair RMx.
2) Your bundle does not include ram. It's interesting that it arrives fully assembled. I guess my only concern would be that they pack it properly to ensure the CPU cooler stays rigid to prevent it from cracking the motherboard.

Solution
Bundles are not typically good deals. For an overclocking, single GPU setup, a quality 550w PSU will be plenty of power...

Thanks for your response. Forgot to add the ram, which will be included in the bundle. Definitely ruled out the 750w. Will probably go with 650w EVGA G2 or GS for future graphics card upgrade. :)

I'll definitely look into some of those components. Though compared to the bundle it will probably only be about £20 less so perhaps the bundle deal isn't too bad (as it includes overclocking and is assembled too)..? Thanks for your reply.
