I have a 1tb SiliconPower external HDD (supports usb 3.0), it all works well until i plug it into the 3.0 USB when things start getting strange (?): I can copy data from the external hdd to my internal hdd with no problems, but trying the other way around it just gets stuck (no matter the file size) and gives me the "0x80070079 The semaphore timeout period has expired" error.
I also noticed that my wireless usb (2.0) adapter just stops working (its still detected by windows and connected to my wifi but the internet is not working) when the external hdd gets plugged into the usb 3.0 port. As soon as i remove the siliconpower drive everything gets back to normal.
Any help would be much appreciated.
