My net goes crazy time to time, i play overwatch and once a day my connection drops. I see that i am still connected to my wifi, no problem there. But i can't open any sites.

Also time to time my ping becomes 1000 and 3000 at max. Which then half of the time i disconnect and other half it turns to normal.

How can i know what causes my problem?

Open a cmd window and run a continuous ping to the router ip, should be the gateway ip. This will test your computer, the wireless connection and lan part of the router. It should respond even if the internet is down.

If this is fine then it is likely something with the connection to the ISP, check the wiring to be sure all cables are tight and dry. You can then call the ISP and hopefully they will be able to detect the error also.

I did what you told me when i disconnected again. And it said these:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=1314ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=610ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=258ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=3ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=22ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=322ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=190ms
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=102ms

Then my net has come back.

So what does this mean?

This means you likely have wireless interference. There is a small chance it is the computer or the router. You could check by using a ethernet cable but it all it does it confirm it is the wireless connection.

Wireless is massively overcrowded because everyone uses it and stomps all over each other. It is the pretty standard, try changing channels in the router, try 1,6,11. If it is a option try to use the 5g band and you can change channels on that also. You can also force the router to use 20mhz channels but that may cut your top speed.

Problem is your neighbor likely is doing the same thing so if you find a clear channel today someone else may also choose it tomorrow and you get the problem back again.

Best solution is to not use wireless if that is at all possible. Use ethernet first and then maybe consider powerline network devices.

Alright i tested with two other pc's and when i connect via wifi my connection messes up as ping goes to 150 time to time. And when its connected to the ethernet it stays at 1ms.

So now that i know my wifi is the problem what should i look into? I tried wifi near the modem so no problem with distances/objects. But i have no idea what causes this wifi problem. (it doesn't occur everytime but 4-5 times a day)

Normally a hardware type of error is going to cause trouble all the time so it is unlikely. You could try looking for newer firmware both for the router and a newer driver for your nic. It is unlikely though that is your problem.

Finding random wireless interference sources is almost impossible. Could be someone driving past your house with those new car based wireless AP. It can also be strange stuff like cordless phones or microwave ovens. It generally is just one of those things you do everything you can do avoid the problem and then you just have to accept you are still going to get random interference.

This is the main reason you see everyone saying do not play time sensitive online games on wireless. Wireless work well for things like web surfing and even downloads where short disruptions will not be noticed as much.
