Hey guys, I want to overclock my FX-8320E from 3.2 ghz to 4.0 ghz. How of a frames increase would I see with a GTX 950 2GB and 8GB RAM in games like The Division?
I would not buy a new motherboard just to overclock the same CPU - if you're going to get a new motherboard, you might as well save up until you can get a faster CPU to go with it. You'd get a few FPS here and there with the overclock, but it won't be worth the money you're shelling out.
An extra 4 to 5 Frames per second roughly.
But it is also greatly dependant on if the game in question favours the Ati gpu or the Nvidia Gpu with some games Astro.
3.2 FPS assuming there's a full moon and the planet Jupiter is in Libra.... Whoops, just realized I'm NOT actually a psychic. Why don't you try it out, and tell *us* what you gained?

I can't do that yet because I am currently using an ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard, where the VRMs don't even have heatsinks. I am determining whether it will be worth getting a better motherboard such as the MSI 970 Gaming for overclocking, which is the purpose of this thread.
