I am looking to build a gaming computer soon. My target budget is around $800.
Before I start searching for deals and parts I want to know about any upcoming deals on gpus CPUs etc that are going to come out in the near future. If a company is going to release a new motherboard that would fit in an $800 build and would perform higher then current market options I would opt to wait for that. I am not following the tech market closely so I don't know what's on the horizon. If anyone could help that would be deeply appreciated.

Yes, a company will release new CPUs and motherboards and video cards and so on in the near future and there is a chance they will be better than what is out now. "soon" and "near future" can be pretty flexible. A year? A week? Month?

AMD should have their newer CPUs out pretty soon on the AM4 socket, looks like end of this year. Intel will have updates to the CPUs in 2017 , Kaby Lake.

So wait till 2017 or just get the current parts now. For $800 Core i5-6500 is good to get, along with about about an $80-100 H170 series motherboard and a RX 480 would be good.

In terms of waiting I was thinking about a month, so waiting till 2017 is a bit to far. Does nvidia gpus work with Intel boards?

And would you have a recommended build for an $800 gaming computer without peripherals / os?
