Better Processor for Video Editing: iMac 5K (Late 2015) vs Mac Pro (Late 2013)?

I'm stuck in a bind. Looking for a new Mac that is best for my video editing needs (Adobe Premiere and After Effects). I know that generally Xeon is preferred over Core when it comes to video editing, but unfortunately the current Macs offered won't let me compare Apples to Apples (no pun intended...okay maybe a little bit) because the iMac's Skylake Core i7 is newer than the Mac Pro's Ivy Bridge Xeon. It seems the Core i7 might be superior to the Xeon in this case.

Option 1: Mac Pro (Late 2013) - $2,999
Processor: 3.7GHz Intel Xeon E5 4-Core
Graphics: Dual AMD FirePro D300 (2GB of GDDR5 RAM each)
Base RAM: 12 GB of 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC

Option 2: iMac 5K (Late 2015) - $2,999
Processor: 4.0GHz Intel Core i7 4-Core
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395X (4GB of GDDR5 RAM)
Base RAM: 8 GB of 1867 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (will add my own to max 32 GB)

Is there a noticeable difference between the two in terms of video editing performance? Or is it negligible?

Appreciate anyone's input to help me make a decision. Thanks!

I believe these are the two we're comparing: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Xeon-E5-1620-v2-vs-Intel-Core-i7-6700K

Only issue is, I'm not sure how to translate those results into my practical everyday use as a video editor. Core i7 seems to blow Xeon out of the water in single-core performance, but does that matter in After Effects and Premiere (don't know if they're optimized for multithreaded processing)?

And what about GPU? Xeon of course doesn't have integrated graphics like the Core i7 does, but the Mac Pro has dual AMD FirePro D300s (can't find any info on those) vs iMac's AMD M395X. Perhaps GPU vs GPU might matter more if Premiere and After Effects depend on that more than the processor itself?
