Seeking recommendations: best wireless network card?

I am posting here because the "Networking" forum appears to be a ghost town.

I am looking to buy a new wireless network adapter card for my desktop computer (5820K with Windows 10, in case it matters). I'm hoping to buy something better than your average "cheap" consumer-grade product - something that has a good reputation for reliability and maintaining a solid internet connection. Recommendations very appreciated!

Tp-Link is a brand I use most. look for one with larger antenna. For professional equipment, there's CISCO and Microtek but are expensive.
You may also want to take a look at USB based adapters because them you can put at a place with better reception using USB cable.

I'm just looking for something that will maintain a solid wireless connection. Hoping to avoid cheap, flaky equipment and avoid connection drop-outs. Is there a brand of wireless adapter that is better quality than most?

Thanks
