Hey I just boght a gtx 1060 6gb and I installed the drivers. The thing is that I see no changes in performance from my shapire 370 with factory of I think I did something wrong (im new to upgrading and doing it my self) need some guidance

thanks.

Solution

Your CPU is a huge issue here, no A4 will be able to match what the 1060 is capable off. No AMD CPU with the exception of the FX 9xxxx models will be really worth getting for a good mid-range video card and even that is not recommended because they need a high end motherboard and cooling to run well, which puts them in the price range of a Core i5 setup.

If you upgrade the CPU to say an AMD...

did you uninstall the old drivers?

also complete specs? if you computer has slow components just slapping in a new gpu will often do nothing to increase fps

If you upgrade the CPU to say an AMD A10-6800K that will help.

it would be better to get an athlon x4 compatible with your motherboard

no use in wasting money on the apu part if you already have a nice gpu

gonna need to overclock it as well so also grab a nice cpu cooler
