Hi all. I know this is probably nothing to worry about, but I have serious anxiety issues and need to get some kind of response.

I recently bought an ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ROG STRIX graphics card (dunno if that's the order of words I just copied it from the website) about a week ago for a PC I'm building. I found it at a good price and knew it probably wasn't gonna be at that price for much longer, so I bought it immediately, and am buying the rest of my PC this Sunday.

It's just kinda been sitting under my bed in its box, and there's carpet and stuff and I'm kinda paranoid about it just being there. It's in its box, which is within another box. Under my bed, which is on carpet. The bed is wood. The box has been sitting there for about a week.

Is there potential static electricity damage that the card could receive? If so, would if affect how it works?

I know there's probably nothing to worry about but I have anxiety issues and I'm paranoid.
