according to gigabytes own page, yes you will need to update your bios to use a vishera FX CPU

edit: after further inspection you may not need to assuming your motherboard ships with bios FA on version 2.x but if you get a v1.x you will need to upgrade your bios. it is unclear which board you are getting according to superbiz. my guess is it is the newer revision but you may want to confirm that.

he is correct though they did a poor job making it clear. Especially seeing there waiver on page saying FX cpus need a bios upgrade. you have to dig though the supported cpu list and know which bios is release. point is you should be fine.

Okay, I'm confused. Lol. The asrock970 pro3 says it works with AM3+ And 8-core CPUs which is what my 8350 is, so I assume this won't need a BIOS update? I kinda like this MOBO more anyways. Here's a link,
