Hey guys, so I have this HDD for a long time ago (a loong time ago).
As you can see in the picture it has 31641 hours of power.
It's a shitty old disk, should I back up my data before it starts to malfunctioning or I'm safe?

I know that I need to replace it, what I want to know is how urgent is that.

Thanks !

Hi there Ignacio Grassini,

Nobody will be able to give you the exact answer. Once having bad sectors, it could fail in a day. On the other hand, it could stay like that for a long time.
In case the data is really important, you need to back it up now.
In case it is not, you can keep an eye on the health status and see when it will begin to deteriorate. Once again, there is a chance that the drive would become inaccessible really fast.

Cheers,
