My system:
Mobo: Asus P5QC
CPU: Q9550
RAM: 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 1066
PSU: Bequiet SP7 450
HDD: 1 SSD, 2 7200 RPM, 1 5400RPM
VGA: Geforce GTX750Ti KalmX

What's the best and least expensive memory my hardware can support?

I found this: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B002K27KW2/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A22K8UVALPU7Q3; but it's not in the mobo's QVL. Kingston's website lists it as compatible, though.

I've previously installed two HyperX Fury DDR3 1333 4 GB sticks, but they wouldn't work.
Apparently, it's a problem of "density". All the mobo's manual says about it: "This motherboard does not support memory modules made up of 128 Mb
chips."

On G.Skill's website they don't have P45 chipset among those compatible: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-10600cl9d-8gbnt
And the mobo's QVL doesn't mention that model as well.
Will it be fine anyway?
How can I tell if it's high or low density memory, by the way?

Update: I've bought and tested the exact G.Skill model suggested above.
At first I've tried booting with both sticks installed and it wouldn't boot.
Then I've tried booting with a single stick, first in one slot then the other. I've tried this with each stick: with one, the computer would boot, with the other it wouldn't, no matter into which slot I put it.
I've only used the correct orange slots for DDR3.

I figured that, rather than this model being incompatible, one of the two sticks is defective; so I'm returning the kit and having it replaced with a new one of the same.

Now, I'd like to know if my guess is correct or there's something I'm missing, since it's the second time I try to install 8 GB of DDR3 without success.
Thanks.
