Hi, I have connected a Radeon RX 480 4GB Graphics card to my motherboard, however no picture/black screen. Power supply etc all good. All ideas/feedback welcome. Thanks in advance. Moose

Solution
Hi, you need to flash your BIOS with the latest update from the Gigabyte site. This solution was given to me by Gigabyte when I contacted their support team. They have a walk through guide. It is very important you follow the instructions properly, otherwise your pc will not restart.. Hope this helps.

Does the motherboard produce any kind of beep codes when you turn on the system if so what code does it make, usually a sequence of beeps.

If not does it have any kind of POST readout, this will usually either be a set of LED's on the motherboard or a small 8 segment display on the motherboard that will display the code.

No post readout option. . Will reconnect audio and get back to you. Sadly now off to work.. Thanks for your time.

That's fine, Just reply as soon as you can if you find the error readout.

Hi, things seem to have gone bad to worse. Following instructions in the GPU manual, I disabled the built in graphics on the motherboard. That didn't work, so had to reset the BIOS, which was then corrupted and had to be restored via the dual BIOS. Without the GPU, The PC starts with one beep. With the GPU in place, no beeps and although the PC stays powered up, it does not seem to post.

Hi Daniel, thanks for the help, not really sure why there has been so little from anyone else. Maybe we all like to think we are computer Gurus, however in reality few of us have a clue. Needless to say I am not sure Tomshardware is really The Authority on Tech. Anyway just to say problem solved. Gpu up and working. I am now a very happy bunny.
