installed ssd but when plug hdd back in it takes over

i have run windows on my ssd drive to boot from but as soon as I plug my hdd back in it takes over and boots from it and my ssd dnt show up on my pv but when I unplug hdd drive ssd bots up but if I have both plugged in the ssd dnt show up help please
