Hi,
I have a core i7 920 with an ASUS P6T and 12GB of tripple channel memory. My current gfx card is a GTX 750Ti. Would it be worth it to replace the GTX 750Ti with a GTX 970?
What do you mean by worth it? The i7 920 should be able to handle a GTX 970 with maybe very little bottleneck. I would get an RX 480 or GTX 1060 over the GTX 970 any day.

Get a Rx480, is way better and more future proof.
Why is that exactly? I am so out of touch with hardware these days.
An RX 480 is AMD's new graphics card based on the Polaris Architecture. Its the same price as a RX 480 and will be better cause of the large amount of VRAM.
