(long-history-short: Replace PSU FAN)

Hi there guys!

I just got a Seasonic G Series SSR-650RM 650W from Amazon, I'm waiting it to arrive (I live in Brazil). I saw some reviews of it saying it uses an ADDA fan (ad1212mb-a70gl), 120mx120m, 25mm height, 12V.

I can't find anywhere in the web (and SeaSonic Support won't provided me, i tried) the voltage range this PSU send to it's fan. I could use this information because I'm planning to replace this Adda fan to a Corsair ML120PRO, that's said to be really silent, really efficien, but they should iddealy never work under 5v.

Anyone got any idea where I could find this info?

update: I know that if I open the PSU I'm going to loose it's warranty, but I don't care. I know I could open it up and measure it with an voltimeter but I could use this info BEFORE openning it up so I can think about it before voiding my warranty.

I would never void a 5 year warrenty to change a fan lol but thats just meI guess. I own the 550watt version of that psu also with an ADDA fan which is not the best in the world but I think its adequate. I don't hear it at all and unless your pc is absolutely silent I doubt you will either, the only time it makes noise is when im pushing it close to a 500watt load.

That said I have never heard people having trouble with voltages when replacing psu fans, I have heard about quite a few people doing it without issue. Usually they are 2pin however so you may need a 2 to 3pin adapter.

I do know what I'm doing with electronics, but I still respect the danger of the power within these units. I agree that it should be left alone.

too many people will think switched off and unplugged is safe.

And it'll be a variable voltage as all seasonics have had for the last decade, the higher the load/temp the higher the fan speed. So once the fan is loud enough to hear all of the other fans will be working a full speed trying to keep the stuff drawing that power cool.

Well, I know what I'm doing lol, but anyway, after reading all that good from Seasonic experienced users, you guys won me over.
I'm going to keep my new corsair ml fans just to the aio wc and as a case fan. If I ever need this PSU warranty, it would be a shore because I live in Brasil, but keeping my warranty valid would be better, I agree with you guys.

Thanks for keeping my sanity in check lol
