Greetings!
I've been messing around with an old Acer Aspire X3910 Desktop:
mATX-Mobo WG43M (Latest Bios 2010)
I've been looking to add more ram to the old thing.
It's current Ram setup is dual Channel 2x2GB sticks: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Memory-PC3-10600U-1333MHz-M378B5673FH0-CH9/dp/B00DUGFEH0

Now I have 1 available 2GB Ram stick which makes the pc not booting when added:
https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-ValueRAM-1333MHz-KVR13N9S6/dp/B00HV6V56O/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1471612031&sr=1-1&keywords=Kingston+2GB+DDR3

As far as I can tell their characteristics are the same. Now before I go about messing with the CMOS and whatnot, I considered that because it's a dual channel mobo, a single stick along with the original 2 isn't gonna do the trick. Should I buy a second same one, or it's a lost cause?

Before someone recommends buying an additional pair of the originals, I'm considering the 2nd ram because it's immediately available for purchase( I'm from Greece and buying from Amazon here is a real pain).

Don't 'mix and match' RAM e.g. use different types. i would recommend 2 of these "HyperX FURY Series 4GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 DIMM Memory Module - Blue" as they a good quality and the best your Mobo can support. if not just get the other ones that match the original. :)

I know that mixing isn't a good solution but humor me here: Could my idea work, in theory? As I said, as far as I can tell the 2 rams should work at pairs of 1-3 ,2-4 slots since both have same size, clock speed, voltage CAS latency, pins etc. I'm just insisting on it because I can have the 2nd ram in a single day at 10€ price and avoid the hassle of ordering and waiting.
Anyway, thank you for your input. I appreciate helping out amateurs.

Using different RAM will work regardless of brand as long as they are same clock speed etc. as you stated they are, so yes. it will be fine(or atleast should be) and i have done this many times in the past and am typing this on a computer with different RAM. Good luck :).

No problem :) Also nn a posotive note, even if it doesn't work, it's handy to have spare RAM lying around for troubleshooting future problems/ if you ever need a spare stick so its a win-win situation as far as i can see:D
