Hi all, I've seen this issue raised here and the threads are 1 to 2 years old, I was hoping to cast some new light on it.

I have the above monitor, running a GTX 1070, an i7 6700k, MSI Z170 Gaming M7, 32GB HyperX RAM, Corsair CX850W PSU. I've checked I'm running MSI's latest BIOS and have Nvidia's latest driver package, not running GeForce Experience.

When it's working, it's a fantastic monitor. But recently during games, or sometimes going through Windows, (Windows 10 Professional N 64bit) the monitor will turn black and display 'no signal'. I've unplugged everything, reconnected, still nothing. Force restart and reboots also don't fix the problem. Only after leaving the monitor turned off for a substantial amount of time am I able to get a good connection. I've contacted Asus and they've just advised me to replace the PSU. Not a great start.

Has anyone else heard or had this problem? Are there drivers or something I'm missing in terms of running the monitor correctly?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

only 2 weeks old and it's acting up? yeah I would have returned it right away.
It sounds like your monitor is overheating, that's why it starts working again after being turned off for a while and cooling down.

Only way to check if it's not the monitor, is to try another monitor/tv and see if it still happens.

I would say it's your GPU driver dying/crashing, but forced reboots would fix that.

It could also be a bad video cable maybe, so that's another cheap fix to try.

When you say you unplugged everything, have you unplugged the power cable out of the back of your monitor? Do this for about 15 seconds then plug it back on. I had this problem before. Also try another display port cable

Before I bought this monitor, I was connected to a Sony Bravia 4k TV for about 2 months, no problems at all. I've bought a new cable so I'll try this tonight thank you mate

Yes I unplug everything, power cable out of the back, leave it for a while, then everything back in but still no signal. I've got a new DP cable which I'll try tonight, my GPU has 3 ports so I'll try each of those too.

When you say you had the problem, does it still persist or did you replace the monitor? Same model?

Can you still hook it up to the bravia? If you can, do it and see if a similar thing happens. if it works fine, then it's your monitor being broken/busted. Fixing the monitor will be a whole different route though.

I'll try the Bravia again tonight, I'm confident that will work so will have to prepare for a monitor repair, I'm under guaruntee with Asus. Just annoyed that I've spent all that money and it's worked for about 2 weeks!

Maybe even less than that. Can't recall exact dates but yeah it's not lasted long at all. I've read online about people having problems after the first 24 hours! Shame because when it's on, it's a great looking monitor, help me get up to 100fps on Witcher 3 at 1440p 144hz
