I am building gaming pc and my budget is very close to £400! My friend built one and he can play GTA 5 1080p 60fps (around)
And I want to be able to do tasks faster. I will also be using to edit videos!

This is his specs: Computer build
ProcessorsI5 4460
Asus Gtx 770
Motherboard: gigabyte z97p
Storeage: 1tb HDD 120gb ssd
Power Supply: cx 500 Corsair
Ram:???
Case:???
CPU cooler:???

Please give me good parts for ???

I want 8gb ram and I dont know which ram to buy. But im on BUDGET and I dont mind *bidding/buying second hand parts* as long as it fits the budget. Anyone know where I could get quality ram. Or what to buy?

And for my case, I want a see through side case that is good quality for under £30
. I cant find any

Anyone mind helping me? I want to know if this is good build and if I have to change anything. Also i am searching for the parts online, and not sure which ones to buy, if you could help me find links that would be great

Thanks, BTW i am trying to find someone who can help me find the parts, if there is anyone willing to help please do.

... for £400 you be lucky to get medium-high in GTA V and for the frame-rate to stick to a solid vysnced 60fps.

Just saying your friend can play 1080p 60fps isn't very specific, if he has similar parts to you then he certainly wont be playing maxed 60fps as that requires an GTX 970-80/TI or R9 390 and overclocked i5 or a stock i7 but overclocked if needed.

The GTX 900 series have just recently had a £50 price drop just so's you know.

Ram wise just get some budget Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB or 1x8GB 1600MHZ.

That PSU is terrible build quality wise, it wont last long as a gaming PSU (prob max 2 years)
Look at this Tom's PSU tier list to explain all of this stuff about build quality
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

For the case it depends, do you care how it looks and what size it is for one? You will be needing a Mid tower or higher preferably if you want to fit everything and have decent airflow. Talking of decent airflow try and get a case that comes with 1 or more front intake case fans. For case prices just go on Part-Picker and put all your parts in then go tower cases and click the price tab at the top to show low-high prices and look over them.

CPU cooler wise just get a budget £15 Cooler Master EVO, I had the TX3 version on my old i5 4460 and it kept it at 45C in are cooler British weather.

On how to build a pc there are tons of videos online but you should really look at Toms step-by-step guide:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/274745-31-step-step-guide-building

Hope all this info helps buddy.!

I would recommend an EVGA/Seasonic PSU as crosair isn't the best. Vengance ram is good i recommend this RAM as 8GB should be enough for gaming. the CPU is fine and the GPU will be ok aswell (Though don't expect Ultra 1080p 60fps on games such as GTA V with it.)

Thanks for the explanation! I am trying to find the parts too buy but I cant seem to find everything. Do you mind putting the specs in pc part pickers, that would help me a ton, and I can buy it. I tried to put my parts in pc picker but the motherboard wasnt there. And you said my PSU is really bad, do you have another one that is better?

If you have free time please put all the parts i need to buy into pc part picker, that would help so much! I am so lost, I know how to build PC and about parts, but I dont know what parts go well with what. Thanks man! Btw does it matter if I get second hand parts? What parts shouldnt I get second hand, which doesnt matter? Thanks again
