Hello, it's my first post on this forum, so excuse me if I do something wrong. I just got my sound card (ASUS Xonar DX), and as you can see on the pics, it's extremely close to my GPU (GTX 970) and blocks half of a fan. Will everything be alright, or should I sell the sound card? :(

Additional question: is it normal that if I push sound card all the way down on the back, the hole in the steel part (I don't know the English word for it) will be blocked? In order to put in a screw to stabilize it, I need to pull it a bit from the back.

Thanks in advance for help.

Motherboard is ASUS B85M-K

Solution
I have had mine for years like that, it does not make a big difference in cooling you have plenty of room.

As for adjusting it so it can mount that is normal as well. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you very much for answer, very appreciated. One last question, should I push it down so it's all the way in, or leave it as it is so I can properly put in the screw?

As long as its a good amount in the slot, mount it so you can screw it down properly. Maybe bend the bracket a little bit so you can get the card in the slot tighter.

I did everything as you said and now there are weird sounds coming from where sound card and gpu are located, something like the fans kept hitting something. It started happening today, yesterday everything was fine. The sound appears every like 5 seconds.

Should I be worried? I can't see anything colliding with the fans.

I installed the sound card again, this time it's a bit bent but as a result it's further away from the GPU and it's not making any noise anymore. Yes, everything was working correctly. Thanks for the help man
