Hey! first time poster here, actually I just signed up a second ago to make this post lol.
So, I wanted to ask about SSDs, I want to buy one, specifically the "SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 256GB", and I'm still quite new to the SSD world lol (a noob you might say haha), So my first question is, I have a "GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI LGA 1150" motherboard, and I'm not quite sure if the ssd works with my motherboard or not, I read a bit about it, but honestly I understood nothing lol, here's the specs site for my motherboard, if you can help me with this
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4957#sp
My second question is, I don't get the pcie*4/pcie*2 term, and what it means, is it like the ssd is going to take like 4 or 2 pcie ports (I swear I'm sure it's not the case but I'm asking it anyway haha).
I've checked my motherboards list for compatible SSDs via pcie, but I think it's outdated.
Anyway, thanks for the help in advance
