My roommate and I have Identical builds, we are both running 4670k's with EVGA GTX 770 ACX SC 2gb's. I recently purchased an MSI 1060 Gaming X.

I was wondering, should he upgrade also or should we just stick my GTX 770 and SLI them in his build? Is there a huge difference between SLI'ed 770's and a 1060 for 1080p gaming?

Hard to find definitive numbers on this. Thanks for the help.

Personaly I think if you will sell him your 770 at at lest 75% of an 1060, its more value to get an 770 sli.

But if not, an 770 sli is not a good choise if you have the much newer and better 1060 than a 770 and you dont need to worry about sli compatibilty...

And remember that 770 sli can consume 500w of your psu...

so if the second 770 will be realy cheap for him then go, if not, he will win much more with the 1060...

So basically you're saying it's only worth it if I sell my 770 gtx for $200 or less(1060's are 275+ for a decent one) to him, it's worth it. That makes sense, I was probably going to give it to him for $150-175 anyways. I still wonder how both options compare as far as performance goes.

I would say 150$ for 770 its fair
