Which GTX 1060 3Gb is the best?

Solution
that 13% for the 6 gb 1060 over the 8 gb 480 was compiled from more than a dozen reviews across the web. i literally combined all the reviews and computed an average total % over all the games reviewed from the various sites. can't think of a more unbiased way to get the number than that. takes a long time to compile all that data and i stand behind it 100%. one site might be higher and another may be lowe, but when they are all combined a very solid performance picture is built.

but go with whatever you feel like i guess.

have not seen a single review of any of the 3 gb cards yet so can't really say. see this thread for updates to models and reviews available as they show up. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3047729/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1000-series-megathread-faq-resources.html#17902602

all the other pascal cards have been little different to each other. each has oc'ed to the same speeds and given roughly the same fps as the others. i am going to assume this will hold true for the 3 gb 1060 cards as well. until we see some reviews we won't know how it stacks up against the 480 cards or even the 6 gb 1060 cards.

stay tuned to the megathread for reviews :D

we don't know yet. no reviews for any of the 3 gb cards. the 6 gb 1060 was roughly 13% better than the 8gb 480. 4 gb 480 only loses about 5% to the 8 gb version. so guessing the 6 gb 1060 at about 17-18% better than a 4gb 480 (i'm sure there are actual reviews but i don't have one handy)

so even if the 3 gb 1060 loses 10-15% to the 6 gb version that would put it very close to the 4 gb 480 depending on the game more than likely. but can't say for sure anything specific since no reviews are out for the 3 gb cards. they should be out soon enough since cards are for sale.

best answer is to sit tight for another week so we can get some benchmarks to make an informed decision. but it all seems to be looking like the 4 gb 480 and 3 gb 1060 will trade blows directly and go back and forth depending on the game in question. (think 970/390 or 280/960 type battles)
