hello, I have just built a new pc yesterday, I installed windows and everything was working fine and all until the next day, I booted up the pc and tryed to login and nothing worked. than I tryed to go into the bios screen and that didn't work either. I than realized that the keyboard and mouse were lighting up. but are unresponsive. I can't acess anything and I've tryed every usb port on the front and back of the computer but nothings working so can someone please give me a solution?

Edit: also when I turn off the pc it doesn't shUT off just black screens. to turn it off I have to force shut down . and my k65 stays on even when the pc is turned off

Do you have another keyboard and / or mouse to try with your system? Have you tried to use just one without the other. It could be that one of them has failed and could be causing problems with all your USB ports.

If one doesn't work with the other unplugged, then it sounds like your USB ports have stopped working. You could try a CMOS reset to see if that might remedy it. If resetting the CMOS doesn't work, then it looks like you might have a problem with your motherboard.

To reset CMOS (BIOS) without a keyboard you will have to use a switch on the motherboard. Check the motherboard's manual to find out where it is and how to use it.

The K65 may be plugged into a USB port that has an "always on" feature that allows you to charge devices using the port even when the system is turned off.

Anything that conducts electricity really. A screwdriver, or coin would work. Paperclip too as long as it doesn't have some sort of coating on it.

Make sure you follow the instructions shown on page 36 of the manual, and definitely short the correct set of pins as there is another jumper right next to it. This should reset you CMOS / BIOS to defaults and hopefully you'll get the use of your keyboard and mouse.
