Hey guys I just buy a pc hp intel core i5 3rd gen 6gb ram 500hdd and I also buy a graphic card zotaic GeForce gtx 940 and now someone tell me that this pc can't support this graphic card because of the power supply its around 250w and the main problem is that I can't change my powersupply is there anyway way that I can do this

he told me its a gtx960 in a message. Those draw anywheres fron 120w to 160w depending on the exact card so I have to agree with your friend. your power supply isnt big enough to handle it.

you either need to drop down to a low power version of gtx950 or upgrade the PSU

I'm not aware of a gtx 940 in existence but as far as I am concerned no there really isn't any easy fix to an underpowered power supply. If you have the time and expertise it should be possible to replace the PSU if you are able to take apart the rig.
