Hello! after browsing for a new desktop when i had issues running the witcher on my old 2013 desktop i bought from a custom computer building site, i'd figure i would just build a new one and give my girlfriend the outdated model since she's not too invested in modern video games. So i decided to start from scratch.
Any suggested substitutions are welcome as long as it doesn't break the bank.I'm trying to have a build around 2k max. Here's the parts:
Motherboard- http://
Graphics- Gtx 1080 founders edition
Processor- http://
Chassis- http://
Fan- http://
SSD- http://
Harddrive- http://
Liquid cooling- http://
Power supply- http://
Ram- http://
OS- W10
I believe that's everything i need to run the desktop. as for perepherals, i'm adding
Monitor: http://
Surround Sound speakers: http:// (not sure about these, i'm looking for some decent 5.1 for around 100, 150 max

this is way better op :) feel free to tweak it a bit

Good build but you made a few mistakes. That PSU is way to big for only one GPU. A 750 or 650 should do just fine. Also I would go with a 250gb SSD just for OS and a few primary programs you want and get a larger hard drive instead. Outside of that I completely agree.

This looks pretty great! Thank you so much :D. My friend who has built computers before said he'll help me build it up, i might just wait until around november and see what kind of black friday sales they have. Would Tom'sHardware have good Black friday/cyber monday deals?

Haha we're in the same boat. I'm also waiting till black Friday / cyber Monday to see what kind of deals are out there for my rig. I'm not sure that Tom will be quite fast enough to get the updates you want, newegg or amazon or pcpartpicker might help you get the best prices before they go out of stock. Be ready to change out a single part or two in a instant if they offer an incredibly good deal as sometime's happens. Also there are a lot of good tutorials on here if you want to try and give pc building a go. :)
