Soo for my 1millionth question up on this site

https://azerty.nl/producten/product_detail/5602/648075/asus-h81m-k-moederbord-matx.html is this motherboard good? (Asus H81M-K) I'm not looking to overclock or anything just a proper motherboard.. Also Do usb3.0 products work with 2.0 ports? And can you connect a 3.0 port to a 2.0 connector on the motherboard (i know you'll have the transfer rate of a 2.0 port, but not sure if its possible)... I'm going to run a i3-4160 rx470 gb and 8 gb of ram on a single stick on this motherboard.

(This would be the shopping cart (Only need motherboard and accesoires): https://gyazo.com/4b8e46767fb6b07ad26c64c420d0e788 )

Solution
Looks like a decent motherboard. Usb 3.0 products do work with 2.0 ports, usb is backwards compatible. Unfortunately the motherboard only has usb 2.0 expansion plugs, so you won't be able to plug in the 3.0 one.

soo my motherboard has these weird connectors for usb on the board itself plus some powercable thingies at the top of the motherboard.

https://gyazo.com/6f351255d64a01a95d3988f88dfe2f38 <-- picture of the connector + one of the cables plugged in. Why does it have this extra connection.. I can't find any other motherboard which has these ports on it.. So i'm kinda afraid i lose my 2 front usb ports..

Just plug the usb from your front ports into the usb on the motherboard if you really want to use your front usb ports. Have you bought a new PSU? If not, you will need to buy a new PSU, that O.E.M PSU will not plug into your mobo.

I know, this mobo has a 14pin.. I've bought a Coolermaster B500 Ver.2 500watt PSU to go with the new GPU and motherboard. But yeah.. Since that cabling for the front usb is weird.. And i need something like 4-5 usb ports.. But i'll be fine with only being able to use 4 i think since i have a usb hub laying around somewhere. But the front ports won't be usable in a proper way unless hooking up those cables outside of the case in the back usb ports? (And why does it adding to these connectors on the motherboard also have the two/one connector thingy on the top? Like the front audio, front usb and cardreader..)

Just a quick quesiton, would this motherboard be good as well? I thought about the usb port stuffs and thought maybe this is a better option so that i will have enough usb ports available

Hmm, so cheaper and a better choice.. :p does this motherboard also have a proper bios? (Since i've heard that some motherboards have really iffy/derpy bios and that it's difficult to work with)

Hey! Don't know if you still read my replies over here but i found out that hte motherboard i linked above would need a bios update and since i do not have another cpu that wouldn't be possible.. Could you confirm if this: https://azerty.nl/0-5602-642284/gigabyte-ga-h81m-hd3-.html / GA-H81M-HD3 motherboard supports an i3-4160 out of the box? Cuz i've seen that you need BIOS version F5, and when i go to available downloads the downloads are F5->F7 does this mean that it is supported from the standard bios?

Gigabyte mobo`s have an excellent BIOS (I have a Gigabyte mobo). The CPU support depends on what version the mobo has(the mobo will probably have F5 on it). If the mobo has an older BIOS that does not support your CPU you will not get any display. If this happens, you can easily flash the BIOS to a newer revision. If you need to flash the BIOS, then put the BIOS on a cd (you cannot use usb), put the cd in your cd drive and turn on the pc.

Hmm.. In that case i must find a cd.. So it will do something with my cpu no matter what?
