is 80-90 degrees to hot for a laptop cpu while gaming?

hey i have a intel i3 processor with intel hd 3000 gpu and when i game i usually hit around 80-90 degrees is that too hot for a laptop? and whats the worse that can happen at those temps?

Usually the max temperature allowed for the mobile i3 is 100C. At 90C the laptop may get just a little too hot and the fan may ramp up. If the CPU gets hot to a point higher than the allowed it will either throttle or the laptop will automatically shut down.
