Is this a good gaming pc?

Solution
I didn't want to compromise performance, but still wanted to somewhat keep with the red and black theme. Are you okay with the motherboard? It offers the best features for its price, but isn't in Red.
You can get the Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3 which is red for 5 bucks more though.
The problem is I wanted to keep with your budget roughly put above, but putting the 850 Evo in pushed it to $1107. Hence why i've replaced it with the SP550, which is still a good SSD.
Cooler has been replaced with one that performs better, and is on sale at the moment.
Put it back in if you are willing to spend 30 bucks more, highly recommended.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core...
There are some selections which can be improved upon, i'll get back to you.
Also notlim that's a terrible example, Windows 10 is going to be their 'final' OS which they are just going to keep up to date and update heavily over the years if I remember correctly. ;)

A build with the GTX 1060 that is actually available to purchase, and already with consideration for parts with shipping fees.

I've switch out the USB based Wifi card for the PCIe with external antennae for better performance+Bluetooth support (it use 1 of the 2 USB headers on the board to provide Bt function). They cost about the same so if you actually have specifics need for an USB based Wifi adaptor feel free to go with the original one.

I find that wireless signals are sometimes interfered with by the motherboard due to the signals it outputs.
USB wireless adapters are more portable and have better use in multiple machines rather than just one. ;)
The motherboard is also not a great choice, and that cooler will barely allow for any overclocking at all!

@Chug: Yeah, and did you see that your Be Quiet! Pure Rock CPU Cooler ($24.90) is actually Be Quiet! Pure Rock CPU Cooler ($24.90) + $7.56 Shipping.

Silly me... I should have listened to the pros.

Thank you! Do you recommend I wait to build a system until zen is launched?
