I just got my gtx 1060 today, after starting h1z1 and star wars battlefront my pc has crashed. Anyone have ideas? I need help really bad.

Solution
It's a single molex connector to a single 6 pin? If I were going to use an adapter, it would be double molex connectors to a single 6 pin adapter. However I would personally never use either adapter in the first place. There is really no getting around the replacement of your power supply. The fact that your power supply doesn't even have any 6 pin PCIe connectors speaks volumes about how it's not intended to power a current generation graphics card. Please check out that post I hyperlinked from LinusTechTips. Regardless, I just copy and pasted a couple of recommendations that I just gave to another member (below).

You will want a new power supply because you just bought a $250 graphic card and you want a power supply that...
What are your full PC specs, including your power supply's manufacturer and model #?
What graphics card did you have before the GTX 1060.
Did you fully remove the previous graphics card drivers and reinstall new ones from Nvidia's website for the GTX 1060?
Download and run HWMonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.29.exe ). Monitor the CPU temps while you're gaming. What temps do you reach?
When you say "crashing" what does that mean? Is the computer simply rebooting, or does it blue screen?

Specs:
fx 6300 @3.5ghz
gtx 1060
Psu- turbolink atx-xg500w
My old gpu was the radeon r7 240 2gb, I just uninstalled all of the old amd drivers i think

Normally I would have suspected software or heat causing your issue. But your power supply model is definitely the #1 suspect

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/515473-teardown-and-review-of-the-turbolink-atx-xg500w-crappy-psu/

Recommendation: Replace that power supply ASAP. Even if you weren't having this problem, I would recommend replacing that power supply. I strongly suspect it's causing your issue though.

Addendum: Despite my recommendation, would you mind uninstalling the drivers with DDU? ( http://www.wagnardmobile.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=337 ). Click "Official Download Here". Select to remove the drivers from Safe Mode, when prompted. After the drivers are removed, then download the latest drivers from Nvidia's site.

Then download and run HWMonitor and check the CPU temps during game play. These steps are still worth taking but again, and I recommend that you do them now, however I still think your power supply is what's causing your issue. Please remove and reinstall the drivers in the manner I listed, and also report your CPU temp during game play (play a game that you know results the crashing).

I already uninstalled the amd drivers from ddu and i cant get into games really, so i cant get temps during gameplay. I was able to play csgo and then tried playing battlefront then it crashed. I also use a molex to 6 pin adapter because my psu doesnt have a 6 pin connector. Does that have anything to do with it?

You will want a new power supply because you just bought a $250 graphic card and you want a power supply that won't damage it and the rest of your components, as well as safeguard them. If you order your power supply before late afternoon, you may possibly receive it as soon as EOD Monday or Tuesday. If you really can't stand the thought of not playing games on your new GTX 1060 this weekend (I know how that is), you can attempt to go to a local electronics store and pick up a double molex to single PCIe 6 pin adapter; this is assuming that you have two free molex connectors coming from your power supply. Don't bother ordering the adapter online because this shouldn't be a permanent solution. Only consider picking it up if you can find one tomorrow to hold you over while waiting for your PSU to arrive.

SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W
$59.99

* 5 year warranty, bronze power efficiency, but non-modular.

EVGA GS 650
$74.99 after $10.00 rebate card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
* 5 year warranty, gold power efficiency, fully modular

Note: Modular power supplies have been a little pricey on NewEgg for the past couple of weeks. In your situation, I'd probably opt for the less expensive Seasonic power supply. I only mention that it's non modular because the picture on NewEgg is deceiving. That means that you can't disconnect the excess cables, because they are permanently attached. You'll simply bundle them inside the case with a rubber band or whatever. Not a huge deal.

why am i able to play csgo but not other games though?

In CSGO, do you have vsync enabled, or limit the FPS in the settings? I'm only guessing, but CSGO probably isn't pulling anywhere near as much power as some of the more graphically intense games. However, if CSGO is set to unlimited FPS (more power consumption) then I honestly have no idea why.
