Hi, i have a fairly bad cheap UPS here ( 800VA/480W ) which has simulated sine wave waveform.

I want to connect my monitor to it ( only my monitor, nothing else ) and was wondering if during a power outage my UPS can/will damage it.

UPS is simulated sine wave and line-interactive.
Monitor is LCD with LED backlight and IPS panel, also has it's own external adapter.

I am going to be using it for 2-3 weeks until i get a proper UPS and don't want to lose my monitor in the meantime.

Solution
It is not likely to damage it. I would not run some electric motors(lets say a fan) on that kind of power(they run slower and I am sure it is not goof for them).

I have used simulated on CFL and LED lit LCD panels. In general I do not use it long term(since I have no power), but I have never had issues with many years of that.
