yeah it should be plenty for games...assuming you don't load a ton of them like me (ie i have 4 SSDs 2 in raid 0 for os and 2 running alone for games/programs). point being it should work great but i do urge you to move your os to the SSD as you OS will run much smoother and faster still leaving a good amount of space for games.
Use both, one of my rigs I only have 2TB total (1TB M.2. SSD, 1TB SSD) and I'm running out of space. Only thing you gain from SSDs is loading times; I only put certain games on my SSDs on my main rig; the mass of them go on my 4TBs of HDDs.

for me it is. higher risk losing data (which has happened from a raid crash)...but doubles my speed at a small latency hit.
