I'm looking for a new GPU which will last me for a long time at 1080p at max setting in AAA titles, with at least 60fps but 75 is preferred as I have overclocked my monitor to 75Hz (Samsung S24D300 24"). I've looked at the RX 480 (Too expensive for my liking) R9-390x (Overkill).
I've narrowed it down to R9-380, R9-390, RX-470, GTX 1060. What's the best cooler out of MSi's Gaming X, Gigabyte's Windforce and G1 Gaming, ASUS's STRIX, Turbo, Dual OC, STRIX OC and Sapphire's Nitro OC.
Prices in $AUD here: http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf

Current specs:
GPU: Gigabyte WINDFORCE 550Ti (2 fan)
CPU: Intel Core i5-6500
Mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty H170 Performance
PSU: Antec EDGE 750w 80+ Gold Fully Modular
Case: Antec GX300W Windowed

Thanks,

I have the Sapphire RX 470 Nitro 4GB and it's a really good card. Very close to the specs of the 480, but draws less power, heats less, the 2 fans cool the GPU really well, can't hear them at all. My display is 1920x1200 so I don't need a 8GB card. And my games are... pretty old, so... :D But The Witcher 3 runs really great now, compared to how it was with my R9 270x.
That's my 2 cents :)

Isn't the 1060 more as a competitor to the rx 480 (1440p / VR)? I don't need something that powerful, and if I did, I'd probably go for the 390x, as it's a bit better than the rx 480. I'd buy it if i had some spare money, but I'm looking for more of a budget option.

Thanks for the info, I've only heard good things about Sapphire, but I'm not sure which way to go.

The 1060 will be faster with DX11 games, but the 470 will still give you over 40fps all the time with the same games, so... The Crimson drivers are really good, better than the GeForce drivers, and not intrusive like them (you should read about that, all the infos those drivers are sending..) I've read that DX12 is better handled too. And there is Vulkan as well.
I was considering buying a 1060 but it's way more expensive than the 470 I got (€220 vs €280-320 for the 1060), and the 470 looks better on the paper anyway than the 1060. I think AMD made the right choice with Polaris, and especially with the 470.
