Installing Win 7 on GPT Hdd of laptop.

Hello,
Recently bought an Asus ROG series laptop and its 1Tab hdd is in GPT format with Demo Win 8.1 installed.
I wish to install Win 7 64bit on the disk but while in boot option to select the installation drive it shows that Win 7 can't b installed on GPT drive..!
I dont know how to convert it to MBR n install win 7 on it while m in boot menu.
Pls help,a guide will b appreciated.

Hi

is this new or second hand as I have never heard of major brand laptop with a demo (eg unactivated) Windows installed.

Look at UEFI/BIOS settings which may have been configured for Win 8/10
Is secure boot off (disabled) or you would not be able to boot from Win 7 USB or DVD

Win 7 x64 should install on a GPT format hard disk
Have you checked all the required drivers are available for Win 7
