Hello, I recently bought an Asus Strix r9 380 gpu, and when I installed it and connected it to power using a sata to 6+2 pin connector, my system wouldn't turn on but when I unplugged the 6+2 pin connector it
turned on perfectly. This is an upgrade from the integrated graphics in my amd a10 7850k apu, and it worked perfectly until now. My psu is the one that came with the thermal master tc102 case and it is a 500w psu. When I plug in the gpu to the pci slot, there's a white led steady beneath the 6+2 pin on the gpu.

I've already tried reseating th ram and the gpu, I've tried changing sata cables to connect the adaptor to and I let it sit overnight, unplugged.

My system:
Asus Strix r9 380
Amd a10 7850k
Gigabyte ga-f2a88xm-dh3 with rev. 3.0
Kingston hyperX fury ddr3 1600 2x4gb
Kingston 120gb ssd
Thermal master tc102 psu
Thermal master tc102 case
2x corsair af120 led fans
Lg optical drive

Tdp without r9 380 is 194w

Any responses are appreciated thanks so much in advance.

Thanks for the answer. But it was that the psu was not strong enough to power the whole system, so I went and bought a 600w corsair psu and it's all solved.
