Hello! so i have been thinking about buying a new drive for my computer because my old drive is always on 100% disk usage. I have been doing research and a lot of people say SSD is the way to go but i don't know anything about hard drives. I have and Alien ware Aurora R2 so i don't know if an SSD will work, i am only looking for a 500gb drive. Any recommendations or advice would be awesome, THANKS!

yeah that will work, thanks for such a fast response. So is it hard to set up an SSD? i have never done it before.

It is not really any different than a regular HDD.
Just way faster, quieter, and probably more reliable.

I just put that exact drive in my main system last week. Upgraded from a 840 EVO 250GB, upgraded from a Kingston 120GB.

Is this to be the primary drive in your system?

Your current drive always being at 100% use might be one of two things...
A dying drive
or
Too much crap running (virus, etc)

(might be...)

If you simply clone a virused up drive to an SSD, you are just moving the virus junk to a new drive.

i don't have viruses, the drive is like 5 or 6 years old.
