Not sure how to explain this the correct way. I am new to the hosting/domain/IIS area of computing. I have a domain, currently hosting on weebly, just to get things up and running. I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 at home running Active Domain for my internal network and also has a large collection of files on a 6 disk RAID controller acting as a NAS system. I have IIS installed on the server w/ DNS and all sorts. On my website i can have members access only certain pages where i would like to place links to download the files that are located on my server. However. i have to upload that file to the hosting site. I don't want to do this. I am extremely security conscious (he says ironically).
How can i put download links on the webpage that will download the file from my sever and not have to upload the files to the hosting site?
