hi my motherboard is asus m5a97 r.2.0 and my cpu is amd fx8350 .

Before flasing bios my cpu was stable and temps were normal but after updating bios my cpu is overheating when playing highend game or doing cpu stress test , it goes upto 85c before shutting my pc down , i dont understand what bios did to my cpu , everything else is working perfect , minimum cpu temp are withing range when pc is ideal and i already flashed bios second time and did bios setting resets too , please help guys , i know my cpu working perfect because i was already playing metal gear phantom pain on max setting withouth any issue before flasing bios .

ps- even a simple 200mb extraction cause cpu temp to rise to 60c.

i had the same board with an fx-6300 , no problems whatsoever , but the cpu VRM heatsinks were always hot as hell , also the chipset ,but i ran it at 4.4GHz , at 1.397 on the Vcore .
If problem persists with the new cpu try manual voltage , you can leave everything on auto , But set Vcore to manual and enter a safe voltage of 1.3-1.34V .
