Windows aero causing lag after windows preview

Hi guys,

After completing a new build with windows 7 I ran into a little problem with windows aero right now. If i put my mouse on the window preview on the task bar and then click a window my system start to lag/stutter. I can get around this by using the "window 7 basic" theme but since I am used to aero transparent task bar i prefer that.

Does anyone has a solution for this problem?

CPU: 6700k
Graphics Card: GTX1080
Ram: 32gb
MB: ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
OS: windows 7 ultimate 64bit

Fixed YEEE!!!. after endless searches finally found something that worked.

It was some software from ASUS that was causing it "Sonic Suite 2". closed it, removed it from the start up at start list an rebooted and it works like a charm.
still pretty weird that it happens to people with a 6700k

I have it off because of the lag i get but its still annoying if something doesn't work if it should work.
