Hello people! The last couple of times I've asked you've all been super helpful, so here goes again!

I currently have a pc with these specs:

H87M-HD3 Motherboard
i5-4570 3.2 GHz CPU
GTX770
Corsair 650W Power Supply
8Gb of run of the mill RAM
1Tb SSHD Seagate

Now, I'd like to upgrade the GPU. I've been looking at the Zotac extreme AMP! editions of the GTX 980 Ti, GTX 1070 and the GTX 1080.

My question to you is: Are these (admittedly rather chunky) cards compatible with my motherboard? I checked on a pc compatability checker but it acted a bit funny, and I'm a bit of a newbie at these things. And which would you recommend for decent 1440p gaming? I've checked out some benchmarks and it seems that the 980Ti is super similar to the 1070, which is a bit confusing as its around £100 less on the internet!

Thanks in advance!

Any of those cards will run on your motherboard. As far as performance in 1440p it goes: 1080 > 1070 > 980 Ti. The 1070 is probably the best value for performance right now in 1440p. But I am a little confused by your statement, are you seeing the 980Ti for £100 less than the 1070? Because that's a pretty good price.

Thanks for the answer! Yes, right now the 980Ti is available for just £350 which seems rather good!

In comparison the 1070 cheapest price: £429.99

Not 100 then, but getting fairly near! Would you recommend the 980Ti over the 1070 for this kind of price? Or just bust out and go for the 1080 for futureproofing? Thanks again ;)
