Depends on the game and fps you will be running. There are some games that do benefit from more modern i5's or even i7's in the right circumstances. Id expect you would be more likely to have issues if you were intending to run 1080p at over 100fps whereas 4k at 40-50 fps I would not expect a problem in any game
