use software off from a main turned into a secondary?

Currently in the process of making a new build, I plan to use a 500gb SSD that I want to save space on, I know you can install programs onto a secondary HDD but I was wondering if it was possible to just run already installed programs on the drive that will become my secondary.

Generally, no.

When an application is installed, it makes multiple entries in the Registry, AppData, etc, etc.
Dozens, sometimes thousands.

Your new OS will know nothing about those things that were installed with a different OS.
