I posted about not being able to get win7 on my H110M with USB support.

Since then I've used DISM to put together a win7 install disk with USB3 drivers and taken that to it.

Didn't work. What's happened now is that whatever I hang off it - empty Hard Drive I've prepared or any boot DVD all I get is BIOS.

When I look in the BIOS at the drives, SATA 0,1,2,3 all I get is 'not detected' for each drive.

Seems it cannot see anything on SATA now. There's nothing to be done about that?

What's the matter? The thing is dead?

Just for sh!ts and giggles, have you tried resetting your CMOS?

To locate the jumper have a look at page 5 of the MANUAL, it is located at the bottom right of the motherboard and shown as item 10 on that page. For a description of how to do it, have a look at page 20 of the same manual. I would also unplug the computer prior to doing this even though it isn't specified.

Doing this will perform a hard reset of the BIOS back to defaults. Hopefully this will resolve the undiscovered SATA devices.

I've tried one at a time. I've tried every permutation I could think of. there's no enabling or disabling in the asrockh110 bios. It's a totally simple bios, seems to me, too simple. all there is there is the sata controller enabled or disabled. it's enabled.
