I made this pc for a friend a few years back
system: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Black - AM3+ - Box (With a 212 EVO)
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3-1866 DC - 8GB kr.
PSU: Cooler Master B600 ver.2 - 600W PSU kr
GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon R9 285 WF OC - 2GB GDDR5
CASE: Antec GX505 Window
HDD: Seagate Desktop SSHD - 1TB
OS: Win 7
System will shutdown during gaming, the system started to do this after he began to play Fallout 4
he says the temps are fine for CPU/ GPU
First thing I will do:
-Check if he has a bad overclock.
-Monitor temps system, cpu, gpu (might be VRM)
-Stress test the system if CPU/GPU and see if if will shutdown if not play Fallout 4 and see if it will shutdown.
I fear its the VRM or the PSU.
Is there anything else I should check for? I do NOT have the system yet but I will get it friday.
